Dr. Groves graduated in 1981 from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been an equine veterinarian for 39 years and horses have been her life passion.
She has studied with the best teachers in the complimentary fields, becoming certified in acupuncture, homeopathy, chiropractic, lymphatic drainage and osteopathy. She has had extensive continuing education in dentistry, lameness, reproduction/embryo transfer, nutrition, ozone therapy, ultrasound and rehabilitation.
Dr. Groves is an honorary member of Therapeutic Riding of Tucson, where she helped to care for the horses used for the handicapped.
In 2000 she moved to Texas, and with her husband Butch, opened The Whole Horse Veterinary Clinic.
If you are having trouble with your horse not stopping, not flexing, bucking, not collecting, being moody or irritable, not taking training, not wanting to perform, having difficulties changing leads, not backing up, having lameness issues that have not been resolved with joint injection, having hormonal issues or having an undiagnosed or alternating leg lameness, an osteopathic exam and adjustment could explain why your horse is not performing the way he once did and put him on the road to recovery. By utilizing a variety of modalities to treat your horse, Dr. Groves can offer a dynamic, pro-active approach to health.
